Responsibilities:

  • Supporting daily customs and export control operations at both national and international levels.
  • Proactively monitoring, developing, and maintaining internal export control processes in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Advising employees and customers and communicating with authorities (e.g., customs offices, BAFA).
  • Supporting company audits in the area of customs and export control law.
  • Preparing and reviewing export and customs documents, preference calculations, certificates of origin, return goods declarations, and freight invoices.
  • Conducting sanctions list screenings and embargo checks.
  • Applying for export licenses (German and U.S.).
  • Managing customs tariff numbers, including the ongoing classification of all materials and products.

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed commercial or customs/logistics-related vocational training and several years of professional experience in customs and export control.
  • In-depth knowledge of national and international customs and export control regulations.
  • Confident use of MS Office; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical thinking, structured working style, and a high level of personal responsibility.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong team spirit.
  • Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
