Strategic Buyer (m/f/d)
Become part of SECO Northern Europe. At our locations in Hamburg, Wuppertal, Stuttgart, and Chennai/India, we are a team of around 190 employees. Together, we develop and produce state-of-the-art technological solutions, from miniaturized computers to fully customized integrated systems that combine hardware and software.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all procurement activities for all components within the scope of development projects for new products until the start of series production.
- Obtain quotes and conduct technical and commercial evaluations for all project components.
- Conduct supplier selection for all project components and lead price negotiations.
- Collaborate closely with project management and R&D regarding feasibility, effort, costs, and scheduling.
- Manage product changes/re-designs (phase-in – phase-out).
- Implement cost optimization measures during the product development process.
Requirements
- A successfully completed degree in technical business administration, industrial engineering, or a comparable field of study, or equivalent qualifications.
- Professional experience in internationally oriented procurement of electronic and electromechanical components.
- Ideally, familiarity with the markets, suppliers, and manufacturers of electronic components.
- You are an experienced negotiator with a professional approach to internal and external stakeholders, and your communication skills are convincing. Additionally, you possess strong intercultural competence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
- Fluency in German and English, with additional language skills (e.g., Italian or Chinese) being a plus.
